Organicality is a consumer education website targeted at health-minded women. The site features an informative blog, educational resources, and a store selling organic products.
role:
Working directly with the founder of Organicality, I designed the website through a mockup review cycle. When the final design was agreed upon, I built the design on the WordPress framework, including implementing the shopping cart.
Meniscus is a faith-based humanitarian organization offering relief aid and outreach to the African nations of Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
role:
I designed and developed this WordPress-based website to be modern, attractive and captivate the rugged feel of the organization’s African roots. The site gets a constant updated photo feed via the organization’s flickr gallery, eliminating the need for the user to store photos in multiple locations.
Modes2Learn is a startup offering a training platform for organizations that need to train its employees in a variety of formats. By offering training in multiple delivery formats (multi-modal) organizations could reach all employees, despite location and access to computers.
role:
Modes2Learn came to me when they were just forming the ideas of their business. I helped them with brand identity, developing their logo and brand collateral, as well as their website design.
Diane Parfitt was an appointed NC House Representative from Fayetteville looking to get elected in 2009.
role:
I worked closely with Parfitt’s campaign manager to develop the unique style of her campaign site. Parfitt owns an art gallery in Fayetteville and wanted a stylish campaign to match. Typical electoral red and blue wasn’t going to cut it for this campaign. I developed a unique color palette, designed a logo and yard sign, and this WordPress-based website. The result was victory for Parfitt in the election, and a campaign website that is being used in focus group testing to explore the use of non-traditional color for political campaigns.
2009 was a busy year for campaign web design. Jennifer Weiss, a North Carolina House Representative incumbant, was looking to hold her seat in a challenging race. Having seen my work for other candidates, Jennifer contacted me to develop her campaign website.
role:
I designed and built this campaign site in WordPress, allowing the candidate to make updates herself throughout the campaign.
Rounding out my trio of campaign websites for 2009 (all of which won the election for their candidates), Grier Martin was looking to fend off three opponents and hold on to his House seat.
role:
I had designed Grier’s website in 2003, and the design was aging. Grier wanted a fresh, updated design to remain competitive with current campaigns. The new design offers a lot more white, open space, and bolder photography.
